Gorata Kgathi achieved much as a player:  playing at Hogs from 2013-2018, she was named Player of the year in 2015 and served as Women’s Captain from 2016-2018.

Having founded Savage Rugby Club in 2018 she successfully transitioned to her new role as a coach. In her first season as a head coach, and the clubs debut season, in 2019, she steered them to a top 4 finish, and qualified for the playoffs.

Away from the training ground and pitch she serves as Chairperson of Botswana Rugby Union Women’s committee and is currently the only female meme of the BRU technical committee.
